Medan Magnet Penyebab Kecelakaan di Perlintasan KA

Medan Magnet Kereta Api'Mitos' lama ini kembali terngiang di kepalaku setelah peristiwa hari minggu kemarin. perjalanan Jogja-Kutoarjo dengan kereta Prameks yang biasanya ditempuh dalam waktu kurang dari satu jam, kala itu harus molor hingga kurang lebih dua jam. Berangkat dari Stasiun Tugu pukul 16.15, aku dan istriku baru sampai rumah orang tuaku kurang lebih pukul 18.00. Pasalnya ketika kereta melalui perlintasan sebelum stasiun Wojo, tejadi kecelakaan dimana kereta Prameks yang aku tumpangi menabrak seorang wanita yang sedang mengendarai sepeda motor.

Kejadiaanya sendiri berlangsung cepat, aku yang berada di gerbong paling depan hanya mendengar suara klakson kereta mengiringi usaha masinis mengerem kereta dengan tajam diikuti suara seperti ranting pohon yang patah. Kereta baru berhenti sekitar 300 meter dari tempat kejadian. Kereta parkir disitu hampir 45 menit dari sejak kejadian. Malangnya korban yang ternyata orang Kutoarjo itu meninggal di tempat. Fuih.... jadi horor deh perjalanannya.

Nah waktu itu aku sempet juga nimbrung obrolan beberapa penumpang denga masinis yang masih satu gerbong dengan aku. Dari ceritanya disimpulkan bahwa motor korban mogok pada saat melewati perlintasan KA, dan dia kesulitan menghidupkan dan menggerakkan kembali sepeda motornya. Jadi apakah benar teori yang mengatakan bahwa mesin motor/mobil rawan mogok ketika melewati perlintasan KA yang akan segera dilewati KA? Ada yang tegas-tegas membantah, ada pula yang menyangsikan.

Mencari referensi tentang teori ini susah juga, kebanyakan artikel yang membahas ini berasal dari blog atau situs dalam negeri. Itupun masih banyak yang mempertanyakan keabsahannya. Jika memang teori itu benar seharusnya sudah banyak yang mengungkapkannya. Atau itu hanya karangan orang indonesia yang notabene manajemen sistem per-KeretaApi-annya masih kembang kempis. Aku dengan keterbatasan ilmu Fisika juga belum bisa menerima dengan logis bahwa kereta yang akan melintas bisa menyebabkan motor/mobil di depannya mogok.

Sepertinya dibutuhkan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang hal ini karena mungkin saja teori itu benar secara kasuistik. Teori ini bisa jadi berlaku untuk daerah perlintasan KA tertentu atau untuk jenis Kereta Api tertentu. Entahlah.
